Eleklin-A acne gel with clindamycin and adapalene
ELECLIN-A Gel (clindamycin phosphate and adapalene) is a combination product with two active ingredients in a clear, aqueous gel formulation. Clindamycin and adapalene in combination are more effective than either drug alone, and adapalene also enhances the effectiveness of topical clindamycin.
Clindamycin works by killing sensitive bacteria that cause severe acne. It also reduces the concentration of free fatty acids that irritate the skin surface and inhibits the growth of Propioni bacterium acnes (Coryne bacterium acnes), an anaerobe found in the sebaceous glands and follicles. Adapalene is used to reduce acne. It can reduce the number and severity of acne and promote rapid healing of acne because it has both exfoliative and anti-inflammatory effects, and it can also reduce the formation of comedones.
